Zypp Cargo: India's first B2B heavy duty IoT enabled electric scooter launched

Zypp Electric, a well-known name in the last mile delivery segment, has launched India's first business-to-business heavy-duty electric scooter, the Zypp Cargo. Specially designed for last mile logistics, this battery powered scooter can carry a maximum of 250 kg of product. With a 40 amp-hour battery, it can travel 120 km on a single charge. The company claims that after more than three years of extensive research, they have been able to bring the electric cargo scooter to market.


Zypp Cargo has been created for a variety of purposes. It can be used for grocery delivery, food delivery, gas cylinder delivery, e-commerce bulk shipment. As well as having the facility of dual seating, it can be converted into a bike taxi. So versatile that Zypp Cargo is suitable for both B2C (Business to Consumer) and B2B (Business to Business) delivery. The product can be placed on the front, back and side of the scooter.


Zypp Cargo supports dual battery system. As a result, there is an advantage to choose the dual battery variant for a longer driving range. Lastly, the last mail delivery can be done quickly as the battery is swipeable. Initially it will be available in Delhi. The company said that the cargo e-scooter will be launched in other cities in the near future based on its performance and efficiency.


Speaking of Zypp Cargo's features, it has a metal bodywork and digital color display. Zypp Cargo will be enabled with Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT). This will allow operators to monitor where and when vehicles, batteries, and drivers are leaving.


The single battery variant of the Zypp Cargo is priced at Rs 59,900. Again, its dual battery variant will be available at Rs 64,000.
